Hot off the press - Saab Magazine

The latest edition of Saab Magazine is now available in a digital page turning version.
This issue, the first since the Saab Spyker deal was signed, takes a closer look behind the scenes at some of the people who made the deal possible and who helped to keep Saab alive during the reorganization process – including the CEOs of both companies, the dealers, designers and those working in the Trollhättan factory building the next generation Saab models.

The magazine also gives readers a glimpse of what the future may hold for Saab, and follows preparations for the launch of the long-awaited new Saab 9-5.

    Dear Sir ,
I have Saab since 1995 , i had 9000 CD & then 95 & now 93, unfortunately during the years ,the distribution of the Car agent has changed a lot & the recent car Agent of Saab in Kuwait , he doesn't care about the costumer service or the name Saab , you ask for spare parts he doesn't have & has to order from the Hub in UAE & you can imagine how expensive his charges is.
i beg the new owners of the Saab brand , that they take care of the Name Saab & they check with there consumers that are the end part of there hard work & the main users of the car & see what the agent misses in his market.
i love Saab , but when the service is not Good , i am forced to seek for other cars with much better services.
i hope that this small letter will reach the owners .

As before the crisis Saab-magazine is still very nice in design and very readable and interesting.
I would really like to have it in a paper-version again, allouding you to get away from the screen and read it in the sun, in the bed, while eating, or ....

I just wanted everyone to know that we are in the process of purchasing our third SAAB, our second 9-5 wagon (a 2008, actually), and I can't wait! I was considering a slew of other cars (including a Mercedes E Class), but in the final analysis, the SAAB 9-5 2.3T fits me and my family perfectly in every way. My dealer is great and there simply was no need to go beyond SAAB at this time. I'm looking forward to when the new 9-5 arrives but expect to enjoy my 2008 for many years.

It's so wonderful to see Saab Automobile AB coming together as an independent car maker. The wild roller coaster that we were all on while GM was deciding what to do has finally given way to a straight course to the top. Saab should now be elevated to where it belongs amongst the ranks of Audi, BMW and Mercedes. Stay strong Saab and true to your roots, continue to produce automobiles that are superior in every way to that of your competitors, and you will see Saab on top!

Mamdouh, i can imagine your frustration. Saab i think has right now lots of work at their big markets like sweden, englandand the USA. A place even better then this this to make your voice heard is saabsunited.com. You probably already know of it and are a regular. But if not..

Very nice e-mag, now I really wish I could download it to read/show it off-line.
Even better, make it an app for the iPad (I already have the 9-5 app), or make it e-mag available for other reader apps, ie Qiozk.
Still, happy to see the increased marketing efforts by Saab Automobile...

Hey Sandy and all other Apple users.
If you have the latest OS edition (4.0) all you have to do is download the official book application called iBooks. It handles PDFs. Save the Saab Mag. as a PDF.

    Exmºs Senhores:

    Obrigado!

I think Saab has let its customers down. I am in Australia and we still have no news of a dealer network and the old dealer is substandard as I guess they don't care anymore with the uncertainty of the future. I know we are a small market but Saab needs to pull all markets together to succeed. All we ask really is some news or feedback. I am in the market for a new car and as good as the new 9-5 looks, I think I have no future with Saab..

Ditto Sandy's comment about the need for compatibility. The magazine looks beautiful and I would love a PDF to read on my iPad. It would be less expensive than a dedicated app.

Is the Australian market unworthy of any news regarding the future of SAAB in this country?

I have to completely agree with S Samson who also writes from Australia. So many loyal to the SAAB brand globally...yet not one single word to any of us who comprise customer and dealer loyalty (if only we had one!) in Australia. Hard to believe that silence would be so loud. I have owned several SAABs and currently have 2 x 9.5 Estates sitting in our driveway. Now I have to ask whether you want me to switch to another brand?

    I agree with S Samson.
Many people I have spoken to have stopped purchasing SAAB in Australia because they come away from the service centres missing an arm and leg, and the car is still not right.
SAAB need to "rein in" the rip-off dealership servicing as word of mouth is stopping potential SAAB purchasers.
My boss related a story to me that he just got sick and tired of forking out exorbitant prices for very average work on his SAAB convertible.
Personally, I have a very good small workshop that services my Aero in Western Australia. But I've heard some horror stories about dealership servicing here that puts people off purchasing SAAB.
