Introducing the New Saab 9-5. Anything But Ordinary.

We are back where it all started – in Trollhättan, Sweden. The Swedish car manufacturer Saab has recently become an independent company. From now on, Saab cars will be even more Saab. This new era start with the launch of the new Saab 9-5.
Since 1947, Saab has been challenging conventions and opening up people’s minds to what a driving experience can be. With the new Saab 9-5, we want people to change their perspective on driving. Combining smart solutions with advanced powerful technology, it offers a driving experience that's anything but ordinary.

The "Anything but ordinary" campaign is about alternative ways of seeing things. We invite people to come "behind the scenes" in the Saab design studio. The TV commercial gives the viewer a sneak preview of what's going on in the design studio, while a deep interactive experience is offered online. The Internet is the central hub of the "Anything but ordinary" campaign. People can engage in the independent thinking that Saab represents and, most important, the new Saab 9-5. The visitor will be able to explore important aspects of who we are (our aircraft heritage, our Scandinavian roots, what inspires us, our passion for driving, and innovative thinking) as well as the new car with all its features.

Dedicated Saab fans can view the TV commercial at the Saab Cars Official Youtube Channel. The launch of the fully integrated campaign will be early autumn 2010. The global campaign will run on the majority of Saab markets worldwide.

the current 9/5 has stood the test of time, and still looks and behaves in a first class manner.if the new one is half the quantum leap that the first one was over the 9000s, then saab are right back on top of their game

When, oh when, will we see images of the estate version of the new 95? This is by far the best SAAB design that has stood the test of time in styling terms. I anticipate the new one will do also....but please can we see it now? :-)) ...and, whilst talking about styling, why aren't any of the new 95 wheel designs using the innovative style of the 3 spoke designs that are, to this day, unique to SAAB???? Come on, use your heritage equity.

I saw her on the harbour in Mölle in Sweden on a clear summerday. Very pretty. Definitely a qualified challenger in the tough A6 segment.

    I have had 2x 9-5

Just read that the new 9-5 will only have automatic transmissions--Are you kidding? The reason that I love SAAB is having a great manual transmission available. Not everyone in the States likes automatics. Please, first no hatchback cars--with the 9-5 (thanks GM) and now no manual trans. I guess I'll be keeping my 9000 for another 20 years

I've had three 9-5 Aero wagons, and loved the cars immensely. My lease ran out at the wrong time; the BMW 535 wagon in my driveway is a disappointment. Produce a 9-5 Aero wagon please!

Please bring back the hatch and more rounded model! That's why I bought my first 900 many years ago...what an unusual, fun appearance. I wish I had kept it. I ike my current 9-3 but the appearance isn't anything like the old ones....still hoping....

We really love our old 900Turbo convertibles (89, 90, now a 91). It is getting harder and harder to get parts.
Will Spyker be creating a new classic?
The ignition location does get filthy though.

Wish it came with the two-tone white/black interior that the old 9-5 and 9-3 had. If it had this I would buy it - the two tone interior works so well on the last gen saabs I can't believe they abandoned it.
