Saab Automobile AB Bankruptcy

On December 19th 2011 the District Court of Vänersborg placed SAAB Automobile Aktiebolag, Saab Automobile Powertrain AB and Saab Automobile Tools AB into receivership. Two lawyers have been appointed as receivers: Hans Bergqvist from Delphi in Göteborg and Anne-Marie Pouteaux from Wistrand in Göteborg. This team is now responsible for Saab Automobile and are exploring all future options for the company, including the possibility of a partial or complete sale of the business. The receivers have met a number of parties which have expressed their interest in a possible acquisition of part or all of the business. READ MORE

Swedish Automobile Continues Discussions With Youngman

Jan Åke Jonsson retires as President and CEO of Saab Automobile

Trollhättan, Sweden: Saab Automobile today announced that Jan Åke Jonsson has decided to retire from his position as President and CEO of Saab Automobile AB ("Saab Automobile") effective per Spyker Cars N.V.´s Annual General Shareholders meeting to be held on 19 May, 2011.

A search for a successor to Jan Åke Jonsson has been initiated and he has agreed to assist Saab Automobile´s Management with a smooth transition to his successor. He will remain available as such until 1 September, 2011. Until a successor to Jan Åke Jonsson is appointed, Victor Muller will temporarily assume the role of President and CEO of Saab Automobile AB in addition to his role as Chairman of the Board.
